How Does a BlueTEC^® Engine Work?

• An ordinary diesel engine sends fuel to each cylinder via a mechanical pump. However, a BlueTEC^® engine uses a pressurized central fuel rail.
• Before exhaust exits the vehicle, the BlueTEC^®exhaust treatment system works to remove harmful elements. AdBlue is the most common type of BlueTEC^® exhaust system.
• Piezo injectors split up the fuel injection cycle into separate parts, resulting in lower emissions and stronger overall efficiency.
